Narrative Expressions

Documentary photography & videography is one of my favorite Narrative Expressions. Not only does it give a real and beautiful visual representation of your family narrative, but it's the best way to get narrative on your walls that will encourage family reminiscing and discussion about your core values on a regular basis.

A documentary family photo session with bed jumping, family cuddles, cookie baking and a super-cool outing location...yes please!

With the Sathasivm family, we started with PJ time. That meant photo and video of kids being silly, jumping goofballs. Followed by some super sweet reading time with the whole crew.

Does everyone love reading with their kids as much as I do? And the pictures that come out of that time are always some of my favorites.

After that, it was time to do some cookie baking and decorating. And we wrapped up with an outdoor portrait session on the Epic Campus - a favorite family spot to explore. And I can see why - it's amazing there!

Check out the full documentary-style family video from the Sathasivm's Narrator Session!

Love the video but want to see more photos? Below you can watch the slideshow of their full session.

Yes!

I love it.

We offer documentary family photos and videos. Because busy families deserve both photo and video. But who has time for two sessions? Answer, no one.

Kids who understand their family’s identity and values are more likely to feel secure and supported.

You can create a strong foundation for your family’s mental health and happiness without therapy or medication. Creating a strong family identity is crucial in shaping a child's self-identity in a healthy way. When children understand who they are as part of a family unit, they feel secure and grounded, which lays the groundwork for better mental health.
